3M™ 4008 Double Sided Foam Tape is a 1/8" thick open-cell polyurethane foam carrier coated on both sides with a firm acrylic adhesive. The conformable foam body distributes stress across bonded surfaces, cushions against vibration and impact, and accommodates minor surface irregularities without sacrificing bond integrity.
This tape is well suited for panel attachment, gasket bonding, gap sealing, vibration dampening, and surface mounting in manufacturing, electronics assembly, HVAC fabrication, and general industrial environments. It performs reliably indoors and in protected exterior applications where direct environmental exposure is limited.
The acrylic adhesive delivers high shear strength with resistance to elevated temperatures and solvents; ideal operating temperature falls between 70°F and 100°F. Sold as a single roll. Ships via parcel carrier.
