3M™ 4016 Double Sided Foam Tape features a 1/16-inch open-cell polyurethane foam core coated on both sides with a firm acrylic adhesive. The conformable foam layer fills gaps on irregular or uneven surfaces, distributes mechanical stress, and dampens vibration — distinguishing it from film-based double-sided tapes where surface conformability is limited.

This tape is well suited to manufacturing assembly lines, electronics mounting, signage and display fabrication, and general industrial bonding where a cushioning interlayer is required. It performs reliably in indoor environments and in exterior applications where it is shielded from direct environmental exposure.

The acrylic adhesive provides high bond strength with resistance to elevated temperatures and solvents, and high shear strength maintains bond integrity under sustained load. Ideal application and performance temperature range is 70°F to 100°F. Sold as a single roll; each roll weighs approximately 0.42 lbs and ships via parcel carrier.
