3M™ 4920 VHB™ (Very High Bond) Tape delivers a permanent, structural bond through a 15 mil white acrylic foam core with acrylic adhesive on both sides. Designed to replace mechanical fasteners — including rivets, screws, spot welds, and bolts — it provides load-bearing strength with a lower-profile, cleaner finish than hardware-based fastening methods.

The 4920 formulation adheres to metals, composites, and rigid plastics, making it well suited for manufacturing assembly lines, fabrication shops, signage installation, transportation equipment finishing, and architectural panel attachment. The firm foam core accommodates minor surface irregularities without sacrificing bond integrity under sustained stress.

The tape is rated for continuous use from -40°F to 200°F and resists moisture, solvents, and UV exposure. It meets UL746C standards. A kraft paper liner protects the adhesive before application. Sold as a single roll, 1/2" wide by 5 yards long, and ships via parcel carrier.
