3M™ 6512 Masking Paper is a 2.6 mil steel gray paper engineered for demanding paint masking applications. Lint-free and fiber-free construction minimizes contamination risk on finished surfaces, and the 1,000-foot roll length reduces changeovers on large-scale masking jobs.
Formulated to resist penetration from solvents, lacquers, paints, and enamels, this masking paper is well-suited for automotive refinishing, industrial coating lines, spray booth operations, and manufacturing finishing environments where chemical exposure is routine. Heat resistance up to 400°F for one hour makes it compatible with baking and curing cycles.
Each roll measures 12 inches wide, fitting standard masking tape dispensers and spray booth masking systems. Cases contain 3 rolls at approximately 32.16 lbs per roll. The 12-inch width is parcel-friendly and available for standard case ordering.
