3M™ Durable Floor Marking Tape 971 is a 17 mil blue vinyl tape engineered to hold its color, edge definition, and bond under the continuous mechanical stress of forklift traffic, pallet dragging, and high-frequency foot traffic — conditions that cause thinner marking tapes to crack, peel, or fade prematurely.

This tape is built for demanding industrial environments including warehousing, distribution centers, automotive plants, and food processing facilities. It supports color-coded aisle systems, pedestrian walkway demarcation, workstation boundaries, and zone identification programs aligned with 5S and lean manufacturing standards. Blue is one of several colors used in multi-zone floor marking schemes.

The rubber-based adhesive bonds firmly to concrete and sealed floors, and the vinyl construction carries a 250% elongation rating, allowing the tape to conform to minor surface irregularities without edge lifting. Operating temperature range is 40°F to 120°F. Each case contains 6 rolls.
