3M™ Durable Floor Marking Tape 971 is a 17 mil yellow vinyl tape built for permanent floor marking in high-traffic industrial and commercial environments. Its heavy-duty vinyl backing resists abrasion from forklift traffic, pallet movement, and sustained foot traffic while retaining color visibility under continuous wear.

The rubber adhesive bonds firmly to concrete, tile, epoxy, and other hard floor surfaces, making this tape well suited for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing floors, and refrigerated facilities. Its 40°F–120°F operating range accommodates both ambient and cold-storage environments. Yellow is a standard color-coding choice for aisle demarcation, safety lanes, and hazard zones in facilities following OSHA visual management practices.
