3M High Performance Masking Tape 232 is a 6.3 mil crepe paper tape with rubber adhesive engineered for medium-temperature bake operations. Its defining capability is sustained heat resistance up to 250°F for 30 minutes, making it one of the few masking tapes rated for oven and heat-cure cycles without adhesive breakdown or edge lifting.

This tape is used in automotive refinishing, metal fabrication, powder coating lines, and general industrial finishing where parts move through spray booths and cure ovens in a single workflow. The rubber adhesive resists solvents and moisture during surface prep, and the crepe backing conforms to contoured surfaces, hardware, fixtures, and trim components without bunching or tearing.

The tape is 1 inch wide by 60 yards long per roll and ships parcel-friendly. Each case contains 36 rolls. Upon removal, the adhesive releases cleanly from powder-coated and stainless steel surfaces, leaving a sharp paint line without residue transfer.
