Kapton® polyimide tape in a 3/8" x 36-yard roll combines a 1 mil polyimide film base with a silicone adhesive to deliver continuous heat resistance up to 500°F. The polyimide film provides high dielectric strength alongside thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical durability that holds up under extreme heat, vibration, and aggressive process conditions.
This tape is well suited for wave soldering, PCB assembly, high-temperature powder coating, semiconductor fabrication, fiber optic cable management, automotive sensor insulation, and manifold masking. Its narrow 3/8" width makes it particularly useful for precision masking on small components and tight geometries where a wider tape would be difficult to control.
The silicone adhesive bonds reliably at elevated temperatures and removes without damaging substrates, making it appropriate for applications where surface integrity must be maintained after tape removal. Sold as a single roll and parcel-friendly for convenient ordering.
