Scotch® Filament Tape 897 is a 6.0 mil strapping tape built on a glass yarn-reinforced polypropylene backing using Scotchpro™ construction. Embedded glass filaments deliver high tensile strength for bundling, palletizing, reinforcing, and unitizing tasks, while the synthetic rubber adhesive bonds firmly to corrugated, metal, plastic, and most common packaging surfaces.
This tape is well suited to warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution environments where secure load unitizing and closure integrity are priorities. It performs consistently on outbound shipments exposed to handling stress and holds up against moisture, abrasion, and scuffing during storage or transit.
Each roll measures 1 inch wide by 60 yards long, and cases are packed with 36 rolls. Filament tape dispensers are available separately for high-volume applications.
