Scotch® Filament Tape 897 is a 6.0 mil strapping tape built with a clear polypropylene backing reinforced with fiberglass yarn filaments and bonded with a synthetic rubber adhesive. The glass filament construction delivers high tensile strength that holds under load, making it one of the more capable options in the strapping tape category.

This tape is suited for bundling, unitizing, palletizing, and heavy-duty carton reinforcement in warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, and e-commerce fulfillment environments. The synthetic rubber adhesive bonds firmly to corrugated, metal, plastic, and most other common packaging surfaces without requiring surface prep.

The polypropylene backing resists moisture, abrasion, and scuffing, supporting consistent performance through varied storage and transit conditions. Each case contains 6 rolls and ships via parcel, making it practical to maintain working stock for higher-volume tape applications.
