Scotch® Filament Tape 898 is a 6.6 mil strapping tape built around a clear polypropylene film backing reinforced with continuous glass yarn filaments running lengthwise. That construction delivers exceptional tensile strength — the filaments resist tearing and splitting under sustained load, making this one of the more capable options in the reinforced strapping tape category.
The synthetic rubber adhesive provides aggressive initial tack and long-term holding power, supporting applications such as L-clip and C-clip closures, pallet unitizing, bundle securing, and reinforcement of heavy outbound cartons. The backing resists abrasion, moisture, and scuffing, which makes it dependable through multi-leg transit and extended warehouse storage. Manufacturing, distribution, and industrial fulfillment operations are the most common environments where this tape is specified.
Each roll is 2 inches wide by 60 yards long with a 6.6 mil total thickness. This listing covers a full case of 24 rolls and ships via parcel carrier.
