Scotch® Filament Tape 898 is a 6.6 mil strapping tape built with a clear polypropylene film backing reinforced longitudinally with continuous glass yarn filaments. That fiberglass construction delivers high tensile strength along the tape's length, making it one of the more capable options in the filament tape category for demanding bundling and reinforcement tasks.
The synthetic rubber adhesive provides aggressive initial tack and long-term holding power on corrugated and rigid surfaces. The transparent film keeps product labels and markings visible through the tape, and the backing resists abrasion, moisture, and scuffing. Typical application patterns include "L" clip and "C" clip configurations on corrugated cartons, as well as pallet unitizing, heavy bundle strapping, and closure reinforcement in warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.
Each roll is 3 inches wide by 60 yards long with a total construction thickness of 6.6 mil. Cases are packed 12 rolls and ship via parcel carrier.
