Scotch® Strapping Tape 8896 is a 1-inch wide economy strapping tape built on a stiff blue polypropylene backing with synthetic rubber adhesive and no embedded filaments. At 4.6 mil thickness, it bonds firmly to corrugated, metal, plastic, and glass, and resists staining on painted and finished surfaces during removal.

The non-filament construction makes this tape a practical choice for bundling, unitizing, and package reinforcement in warehousing, manufacturing, e-commerce fulfillment, and general distribution environments — anywhere tensile reinforcement from embedded strands is unnecessary and cost efficiency matters.
