These 8x8 inch VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibiting) paper sheets are manufactured from 30 lb. basis weight paper and chemically treated to continuously emit corrosion-inhibiting vapors. As VCI molecules vaporize, they form a protective molecular layer on ferrous metal surfaces, blocking the electrochemical reactions responsible for rust, oxidation, and corrosion — including on surfaces without direct paper contact.

This sheet size is well-suited for wrapping or interleaving small-to-medium ferrous metal parts in manufacturing, metal fabrication, warehousing, and industrial distribution environments. Common applications include protecting machined components, hardware, fasteners, and stamped parts during storage and transit. As a general guideline, one square foot of VCI paper per cubic foot of enclosed packaging volume is recommended for effective corrosion protection.

Each case contains 1,000 sheets of 30 lb. VCI-treated paper and ships via parcel carrier. The per-case unit of measure makes quantity tracking easy for facilities managing ongoing corrosion protection programs.
